About the Program

The Noorul Bayan Kids Program by ALFP is designed for young learners who are just beginning their journey with the Qur’an, giving them a clear, gentle, and well-structured pathway to build strong recitation skills from the very start. Our curriculum focuses on helping children recognize Arabic letters, pronounce them correctly, and progress naturally toward reading full words and verses with confidence.

This program is rooted in the classic Noorul Bayan methodology, known for its simplicity and effectiveness in teaching children how to read the Qur’an accurately. With a step-by-step approach, engaging exercises, and age-appropriate lessons, children gain the tools they need to move from basic recognition to fluent, beautiful recitation—guided in a manner that nurtures both skill and love for the Book of Allah.

At ALFP, our aim is not only to teach technical reading but to lay a foundation that supports a child’s lifelong connection with the Qur’an. Our instructors follow a calm, encouraging style that makes learning enjoyable while maintaining precision in pronunciation and rules. The program accommodates children at different levels, allowing each child to progress at a pace suited to their abilities.

This journey prepares young learners for future ALFP programs such as Qur’an memorization, Duroosul-Lughah for beginners, and basic fiqh studies. By starting with Noorul Bayan, children receive the essential building blocks they need for a strong Islamic and linguistic foundation that will benefit them throughout their lives, in shaa Allah.

This program is offered in a group class format, where children learn together at the same pace and follow the same lessons. Unlike the private sessions, In this setup, students study as a class, and progress through the syllabus as a group.

Syllabus

Introduction to Arabic Letters

Children learn to recognize all Arabic letters in their isolated forms, becoming familiar with their shapes and names in a gentle, beginner-friendly way.

Students are guided to pronounce each letter correctly, learning how sounds come from the mouth and throat to build accurate recitation from day one.

Kids practice recognizing how each letter changes shape depending on its position in a word, helping them read full words smoothly.

Learners begin forming simple letter–vowel combinations, enabling them to read short syllables with proper sound and clarity.

Students learn the double vowels and how they sound in different words, improving their fluency and flow when reading short phrases.

Children practice stopping on letters with sukoon and joining letters together to form complete, easy words.

Kid-friendly exercises help learners recognize and read words with shaddah, strengthening accuracy and pronunciation.

Students learn the madd letters—Alif, Waw, and Ya—and how they extend sound, allowing them to recite with smoothness.

Children begin reading full words and mini-sentences from the Noorul Bayan text, applying everything they’ve learned step-by-step.

Students are introduced to simple tajwīd basics such as qalqalah, ikhfa’, and basic elongations in a child-friendly manner.

Learners start reading selected short ayāt from the Qur’an, improving confidence and accuracy using the Noorul Bayan method.

By the end of the program, children move from practice pages to reading directly from the Mushaf, preparing them for memorization and further ALFP programs.
