About the Program

The Duroosul-Lughah Adults Program by ALFP is designed for adult learners who wish to begin their journey into the Arabic language with clarity, structure, and steady progression. It provides a clear and approachable path that helps students build foundational skills in understanding Arabic grammar, vocabulary, and sentence formation—skills essential for reading Islamic texts with comprehension and confidence.

This program follows the well-established Duroosu al-Lughah methodology, known for its gradual buildup, practical examples, and ability to guide beginners through the basics of the Arabic language. Through step-by-step lessons, simple grammatical explanations, and meaningful practice exercises, learners develop the tools needed to form sentences, recognize patterns, and understand the structure of the language in a natural and engaging way.

At ALFP, the goal is not merely to teach the mechanics of grammar but to help learners develop a deeper connection with the Arabic language as the key to understanding the Qur’an and classical Islamic works. Our instructors use a calm, patient approach tailored to adult learners, ensuring that concepts are absorbed comfortably without overwhelming the student. The program is flexible enough to accommodate varying learning speeds while maintaining a clear, organized curriculum.

This journey lays the groundwork for more advanced ALFP programs such as higher-level grammar studies, applied language practice, and introductory text reading. By beginning with Duroosu al-Lughah Part 1, students gain the essential linguistic foundation that supports their growth in Qur’an studies, Islamic learning, and their long-term pursuit of understanding the language of the revelation, in shaa Allah.

Private Class

This program is offered in a one-on-one format, where the learner learns individually with the teacher and moves at a pace suited to their ability. Unlike the group sessions, the lessons here are personalized, and the student progresses through the syllabus based on their own learning speed.
